A permanent solution for missing teeth

Say goodbye to dentures, bridges or gaps in your smile. This innovative treatment plan uses a small titanium implant to mimic the role of the tooth root. The implant is placed in the jaw where it fuses with the bone. We then place a restoration on the top of the implant. You can choose from a single crown, a bridge or a full arch restoration.

Multiple implants will be required if you are looking for a more extensive restoration such as a full arch or denture implants. You can choose between fixed and removable dentures to give you full flexibility and control over how you care for your teeth. If you’re ready to invest in your smile, book your consultation today.

Who is a good candidate for dental implants?

A good candidate for dental implants may have one or more missing teeth. They should have good overall oral health, and any gum disease should be under control. Smoking can impact the recovery and longevity of dental implants, so you should consider quitting before treatment begins.

Certain medical conditions such as diabetes can make you an unsuitable candidate, along with radiation treatment near the jaw. During your initial consultation, we will explore your history and lifestyle to determine if you are a suitable candidate.

How long does the dental implant procedure take?

The procedure takes place over multiple visits with time for healing in between. For this reason, it is difficult to say how long the procedure will take. A single dental implant can take around 6-12 weeks. With multiple dental implants, the process can take longer. The time it takes for the dental implant to fuse with your jawbone will determine how long the process takes.

FAQs
How Can We Help?
Learn more about your treatment. We’ve answered the most common patient questions below.
How many teeth can one implant have?

A single dental implant would typically only hold one crown. Two dental implants can be combined to support up to six teeth.

Can I get implants on the NHS?

No, dental implants are rarely available on the NHS, unless they are medically necessary. Dental implants are typically only available as a private treatment.

How long do dental implants last?

The titanium implant part should last a lifetime and will not need to be replaced. The restoration on top will typically last around 8-15 years, depending on care and use. We can give you advice and support to help you ensure your crown, bridge or denture lasts for as long as possible before it needs to be replaced.

How painful is getting a dental implant?

You will be numbed throughout the procedure, so you shouldn’t experience any pain. After the treatment, many patients compare it to the discomfort following a tooth extraction. This should be easily managed with over the counter pain medications such as paracetamol or ibuprofen.

Your Treatment Journey
Every treatment journey is unique, but this is what you can expect when you start your dental treatment with us. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way.
01
Consultation
Every dental implant journey starts with a free consultation. We will explore your history and lifestyle to determine if you are a good candidate for dental implants. We'll also explore finance options and give you the chance to ask questions about treatment.
02
Treatment
The treatment plan takes place over multiple visits, usually around three. During the first visit, we place the implant and allow it to heal. Next, we place the healing abutment. And finally, we place the final restoration.
03
Aftercare
We provide extensive aftercare support to ensure your dental implants remain healthy for a lifetime. It's important to pay close attention to your oral hygiene to avoid issues such as peri-implantitis.
Why do patients choose dental implants?
Dental implants are a considerable investment in your smile, but there are some very common reasons that our patients choose to make this investment.
A permanent solution
Dental implants offer a lasting solution to missing teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. The force or your bite is distributed in the jaw rather than on to surrounding teeth or the gums.
A youthful appearance
Missing teeth can cause your jawbone to shrink, which results in a sunken appearance that will make you look older. Dental implants help to retain jaw bone density to avoid the sunken look.
Cost effective treatment
The lifetime value of dental implants is important to consider. This treatment can restore your freedom to live without the hassle of dentures. It will also allow you to eat your favourite foods and smile with confidence.
Look and feel natural
The finished result will look, feel and function just like your natural teeth. No one ever need know that you have dental implants. There is no risk of the implants slipping or coming loose like dentures.
